About Recall Hub
Recall Hub is an independent tool that pulls safety recall data from official government sources — including the FDA, CPSC, and NHTSA — and makes it easy to search, filter, and understand.
The FDA's official recall database is difficult to navigate. We built Recall Hub to fix that: clean design, fast search, and real-time data so you can quickly find out if a product you own or use has been recalled.
What we cover
- Food recalls — contaminated, mislabeled, or unsafe food products
- Drug recalls — prescription and OTC medications
- Medical devices — implants, diagnostics, and equipment
- Consumer products — household goods, toys, electronics
- Vehicles — automotive safety and defect recalls
Data sources
All recall data is sourced directly from official government APIs:
- openFDA — food, drug, and device recalls
- CPSC — consumer product recalls
- NHTSA — vehicle recalls
Data is refreshed automatically every 6 hours.
Historical & archived data
Our database covers recalls from approximately 2010 onwards (NHTSA) and 2012 onwards (FDA, CPSC). If you're researching older recalls — for academic, legal, or historical purposes — those records are no longer available via the official APIs but can be found through web archives:
- FDA recall pages on the Wayback Machine — archived snapshots of FDA.gov going back to the early 2000s
- CPSC recall pages on the Wayback Machine
- NHTSA recall pages on the Wayback Machine
The Internet Archive (web.archive.org) is a free public resource and the same service the FDA itself directs users to for archived content.
Disclaimer
Recall Hub is not affiliated with the FDA, CPSC, NHTSA, or any government agency. This tool is provided for informational purposes only. Data is refreshed every 6 hours and may not reflect recalls issued within the last few hours. Always verify recall information directly at FDA.gov before taking action. A result showing no recalls does not guarantee a product is safe.

Informational purposes only
RecallHub.co ("the Site") is an independent, third-party tool that aggregates publicly available recall data from official government sources. The Site is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, legal, or safety advice.
Always verify recall information directly with the official source before taking any action. The authoritative source for FDA recalls is FDA.gov.
No warranty — data accuracy
Recall data is sourced from the openFDA API and is refreshed approximately every 6 hours. As a result, there may be a delay between a recall being issued and it appearing on this Site. The absence of a recall in our results does not guarantee that a product is safe or has not been recalled.
The Site is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RecallHub.co and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or reliance on the information provided on this Site. This includes, but is not limited to, any harm resulting from acting or failing to act based on information found here.
Not affiliated with government agencies
This Site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the FDA, CPSC, NHTSA, or any other government agency. All government data is used under applicable open data policies.
Product Checker tool
The Product Checker searches our local recall database using the search terms you provide. A result showing no matches does not guarantee that a product is safe or free from recalls. Always confirm results at the relevant government agency's official website.
External links
The Site may contain links to external websites. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them.
Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
